FicNation Staff:

Team Leaders::
Team Leaders are the administrators. Our 3 Team Leaders handle the 3 major parts of running this site, as well as work with the staff below them. While each Team Leader does have a specific job you will often find them all dabbling into other matters of the site's affairs, as well as being a "council" of sorts when making site-decisions. They are also responsible for making the final decision in deadlocked abuse reports and blocking abusive IPs from the site.

Director of Project Development

J99867 came up with the "brilliant" idea of FicNation, and is currently the Lead Developer of the site. His daily responsibilities include ensuring that the site works correctly, upgrade things, add fancy new features. His hobbies include coding, school, coding In short, blame him for your stories disappearing, watches being eaten, and for the "System Maintenance" messages, as well as all bugs you run into.

Director of Community Development

Sianne joined up after she asked the fatal question "I can has dump fics there?" and has since been a valuable member of the staff. Being the only person with any actual experience moderating a community site, she was immediately snatched up and put in charge of dealing with community stuff. She is also known as the "Nice admin" as she actually only bites when absolutely necessary. Direct policy questions in her direction!

Director of Policy Enforcement

Korde joined up after we promised him a moderator spot, little did he know he'd get put in charge of policy enforcement, though he has no complaints about it. Korde was put in charge of Policy Enforcement since he has awesome powers of CSI and GoogleFu and has never given up on a case. Blame him for your misfortune, and direct all enforcement questions in his direction.

Supermoderators:
Supermoderators assist the moderation staff by closing abuse reports where the mod and supermod agree. They are also in charge of issuing permanent site bans when necessary. They are also able to deal directly with comment/PM reports, and reset edit counters on your submissions if need be. They may be assigned to a specific department, but will most likely help out with all aspects of the site, as well as concentrate on their department. Expect to see them often around the site, helping with both your abuse reports, and just saying hi.

Supermoderator: Community Development Department

RipfangDragon is one of our community development Supermods. Feel free to contact her with issues, complaints, and any questions you cannot find in the ToS or the FAQ by PM, email, AIM, MSN or Yahoo. Don't worry, she doesn't bite...often.

Moderators:
Moderators are the first step for disputes, questions, and general queries about the site. They answer questions at the help desk, take PMs, and initially review abuse cases. They may be assigned to a specific department, however they will help out with all site matters, as well as concentrating on their department. They hang about the site just like normal users, and will most often be the first to jump in and help out.

Moderator: Community Development Department

Gabycat is in charge of site translations as part of the Community Development staff. If you are interested in helping with site translations, you may PM her. (surprise gaby!) She is also in charge of making keyword descriptions sound better when J99867 screws them up. She works closely with Sianne and J99867 with community development.

Developers
Developers are in charge of maintaining the site's source code. You will see them dealing with bug reports in the helpdesk, and generally working behind the scenes 99% of the time helping to make FicNation run smoother, and improve your experience here.

Project Development Department

Mikoangelo is our resident JavaScript expert, as well as being well versed in all things web development. An actual professional web developer, he volunteers his time here (when he can) to help J99867 with the site's coding, often times pointing out ridiculously simple mistakes J99867 made. He either made, or is making, a lot of the fancy features that you'll find here, like the comment boxes, browser detection, helpful popups, and things like that.
